LOOPWHEEL
§The Weekly

The menswear newsletter for readers, not shoppers.

Three products worth knowing, two brands moving, one editorial take. Sunday mornings, ~5 minutes. No affiliate hooks dressed up as opinions. No SEO essays. No paid placements, ever.

// 02 · The shape

3-2-1, every Sunday.

3Products

Three pieces from the directory worth knowing about this week. Could be a new drop, a quietly excellent staple I keep going back to, or a cautionary tale. Each one runs 60–100 words and links to the full review with the data fingerprint.

Buck Mason Surplus Tee · 14oz, $58, runs warm. The collar warps faster than the brand admits, but for a heavyweight under $60 it's still the play.

2Brands

Two brands worth a longer read. The 80–120 word framing is the read I'd give a friend asking 'what's their deal?' — origin, current output, the part that's worth your money, the part that isn't.

Quince keeps eating the mid-tier. The cashmere is real, the linen is real, the cuts are mall-brand. Worth it for staples, not for a piece you want to reach for in five years.

1Take

One editorial column. Industry analysis, a contrarian read on a brand everyone's praising, a pattern showing up across the corpus. The part of the issue you'd forward to one specific friend.

"Heavyweight tees are having a moment, but most are exactly as overpriced as they look. Two that aren’t."

// 03 · What it isn’t

An honest read of a noisy category.

  • Not a roundup.No “15 Tees for Summer 2026.” If a piece doesn’t clear the bar, it doesn’t make the issue.
  • Not affiliate-driven. We use affiliate links where they exist, but the picks come first. The link decision happens after the verdict.
  • Not paid placement. No brand has ever paid to be in an issue. No brand ever will.
  • Not AI slop. AI helps research products and surface patterns; the editorial judgment, voice, and verdicts are mine. Every issue gets read aloud before it ships.
  • Not daily. Sundays, once a week. Reading takes 5 minutes. Skipping a week takes zero.
// 05 · Who’s writing

One editor, no committee.

I’m Amir Arani, the founder + sole editor of Loopwheel. I’ve been buying menswear in this category for years and got tired of giving the same answers to friends. Loopwheel is the answer, written down.

The newsletter is the version of the directory you can read on a Sunday with coffee. Every product I write about gets handled — at minimum, photographed; at most, owned and worn until it falls apart. The verdicts compound from there.
